This was a very nice book to read; I had a lot of fun with it. It got my attention so fast. It might feel a little short, but I think the author made a great job putting together an interesting plot, great characters and some unexpected twists.
It is a little light in the BDSM scenes and the few there are, are very short. But I think it was ok, because it left more time to try to unveil the mystery of Kail's loss of memory. We got to know great secondary characters, Jackson was my favorite among them, because of the strong emotions he had, very controlling, and sometimes a little annoying. He made me mad so easily, I would love to read more about him.
In terms of Kail and Philippe's relationship, it was nice. I wasn't too convinced by them. I started the book disliking Phillippe; he felt a bit too dramatic, but as the story develops, I got to care for him and, even though it was a little too rushed for my taste, the relationship started to feel real.
Overall a great story. It was my first book of the series and I didn't have any problem catching up with the relationships. So, I guess, it would work fine as a standalone. I'm glad it's a part of a series because I liked the secondary characters so much and I would love to know them a little better.

The author has done a fantastic job of blending hot and steamy sex, decadent BDSM, and one of the most hilariously twisted dilemmas I've ever seen into a short, but very satisfying package.
What a sexy little tidbit this is! Kail’s sheer confusion about how he seems to have tangled himself up stands in such contrast to his undeniable attraction to Phillippe that I found myself alternately snickering and shuddering at the situation they found themselves in. The chemistry between them is so highly charged that I may have found myself pouting when I realized I had reached the end of their story, I’d love another taste of this duo.

Never a dull day for the members of Alpha Rock. This time Kail is the one in the middle of the adventure. He awakes to find that he has lost days but gained a lover. Just who is Philippe and what has happened between them?
Kail and Philippe's story is a fast paced and engaging read. With the help of Rogue and Jackson they begin to unravel the mystery. I enjoyed watching the relationship build between Philippe and Kail. The two are good together and the attraction is there from the start and seeing it turn to something more was a nice read. As hot as the two are together we also see their emotions and Kail proves that he truly cares for his subs and wants to find out just what is going on with him. It was nice to see the men stick together and figure out just what happened. I loved seeing Jackson and Rogue in this story and I would love to see how their boys turn out when they are all grown up.
I enjoyed stepping back into the world of Alpha Rock and cannot wait to see what will be the next adventure for them.
